Our company manufactures and calibrates volume measuring devices made of glass. This procedure is done by analytical calibration or in some cases by using mercury.

In the one ton capacity gas-electric leer borosilicate glass is melted that has the following characteristics: high mechanical and chemical stability, heat-resistance and low thermal expansion.

The melted and homogenized glass is then taken out of the leer with a metal bar or blowing pipe and is shaped by pressing, blowing or pulling.

· By pressing- the melted glass is poured in a form and by movement it forces the glass to fill the mold and take its shape.

· By blowing- the melted glass is taken out with a blowing pipe and blown roughly in shape. Hemisphere and cylinder shaped tools are used to further mould it then it is lengthened by brandishing the pipe and blown to its final form.

· By pulling- the glass is shaped into a pipe or stick by blowing while constantly being pulled and rotated.

The shaped glass is heat treated, sorted and packed.
